Workplace Charge Scheme (WCS)
Some chargers are eligible for a £350 Workplace Charge Scheme (WCS) grant of up to 40 sockets per site. We will be on hand to advise how to apply and receive your grant every step of the way.
Considerations
Choosing the right workplace EV charger
When choosing the right workplace EV charger, there are many things to take in to account. For example, how quickly do you want to charge your electric vehicle as this will impact the size of the EV charger required. We can supply three phase EV chargers which are 22kw and DC chargers which are 40kw, 50kw, 60kw, 150kw and 300kw DC. The wattage of charger will impact the time it takes to charge your electric vehicle.
Workplace chargers can be either single or dual gun depending on how many vehicles you wish to charge simultaneously. We can supply dual gun 22kw chargers and all DC EV chargers come with multiple gun options depending on what you require. Our 22kw chargers come with built in PEN protection which earths the EV charger and removes the need for costly earth rods during the installation process.
DC Chargers
DC Chargers are the quickest method of EV charging as they have the AC/DC converter located inside the charging unit. This means the charger can directly feed the electric vehicle battery which charges the battery quicker than traditional three phase EV chargers.
